Love at the edge of the Atlantic.
There’s something magical about photographing love stories at the very edge of the land. Cape Spear, with its sweeping cliffs and endless horizon, feels like the perfect place to capture a relationship — strong, grounded, and adventurous all at once.
The lighthouse on the hill.
For this session, we embraced the coastal winds and shifting light that Newfoundland is so well known for. The rugged cliffs framed the couple beautifully, while the waves crashed below, adding movement and energy to each frame. The lighthouse in the distance gave us a timeless backdrop, grounding the photos in one of Newfoundland’s most iconic locations.
What I loved most about this shoot was how natural it all felt. The couple laughed, leaned into each other, and took in the wild scenery around them, and I simply followed with my camera, letting the moments unfold. Between quiet embraces against the setting sun in the sky and playful walks along the rocks, their connection was as captivating as the landscape itself.
Blending story and scenery.
Cape Spear sessions remind me why I love blending story and scenery in my work. They are a reminder that love, like the land, is both resilient and breathtakingly beautiful.
