Alex & Adam’s Playful Wharf Session
The fog rolled in like a soft blanket and the rain barely whispered against the wharf. Boats bobbed lazily in the harbour and seagulls circled overhead, as if they knew something special was unfolding. On this grey foggy day, Alex and Adam brought the colour...dancing, laughing, and embracing every bit of that moody Newfoundland charm.
This dreamy set took place in Lark Harbour near Corner Brook in Western Newfoundland.

playful, natural, lightly posed
When I approach a session like this, I love mixing in a little bit of everything, playful prompts that get couples moving, natural moments that just happen, and a hint of gentle posing to round it all out. With Alex and Adam, we found that perfect balance. They spun each other around, danced amongst the gulls, and leaned into the weather, while I quietly shifted angles and let the wharf tell the story.
beauty in the unique
This session was a reminder that the backdrop doesn’t always need to be an empty field or a golden beach to be beautiful. Sometimes the magic is in choosing something different — stepping onto a working wharf, dancing with the seagulls, letting the drizzle settle on your shoulders, and laughing while the boats bob behind you. When you become part of the place, the images feel alive.
Thinking about a session like this for yourself? Whether it’s fog, sunshine, or anything in between, I’d love to create a gallery that feels like you — playful, real, and rooted in this place we call home.
